Section 1 is a sample of our non-text-based expository writing lessons. In these lessons, students respond to prompts using only their own thoughts and ideas. The intention of this section is for students to learn the basic structure of an essay. The subsequent sections of the curriculum build on this groundwork and systematically enhance students' writing skills.

Section 2 is a sample of our text-based informative writing lessons. In these lessons, students will first read Lexile-leveled source texts. They will then be presented with a prompt and construct an essay in response to the stated writing task.
