Our first-grade resource introduces our youngest writers to essay writing in a fun and easy way. Students will learn foundational writing skills while responding to expository, opinion, and narrative writing prompts. This resource includes teacher directions, multiple exemplars, planning/picture outlines, and 30 student activities. Units 2 and 3 focus on text-based writing and also include Lexile-leveled source texts. This resource is the perfect way to introduce 1st graders to the skills they need to be successful life-long writers.
